DJ made a comment in another thread about people not interpreting dreams anymore. Obviously he is mistaken, but anyway, I had a strange dream last night so I thought I would share and see if anybody can tell me what it means.

All I remember most distinctly from the dream is ...

... I was drinking peach schnapps with Adolf Hitler ...

... what on earth does my dream mean ?

Peach Schnapps means nothing to me as far as I know, I don't usually drink, but I do have the odd drink. And no I have never been in that sort of situation with anyone AFAIK.

your dream, good sir, is quite simple. it means that you have long desired to see the place where you once were when you met with the person who offered you the thing which you never wanted but didn't have the heart to tell him you didn't want because you have a fear of offending those around you ever since that time when you accidently dropped that thing on that other thing and it broke but you couldn't fix it so you had to pay for it and you thought "sheesh! it wasn't worth that much!" but you paid for it anyway because you felt obligated since you broke it and because you didn't want others to think you were a schmooze because that would really ruin your reputation as the kind of guy who would never do the kind of thing that you were afraid people might start thinking you'd do if they knew broke the thing you broke and didn't pay for it.

or maybe it symbolizes some thing in your life that you have become comfortable with--though it not be a sin, but you recognize that if you don't curb your desire for it, it could become the greatest evil in your relationship with god.

My grandfather served under Patton in WWII as part of an infantry unit that participated in the invasion of Italy. Later, his unit was assigned to clean up one of the death camps in Poland.

"Overrated" or not, if Hitler doesn't qualify as evil, I'd hate to see who does.

EDITED TO ADD: Correction from my Mom--it wasn't Poland, so I don't know where the concentration camp he helped clean up was.

I just realized, you may be relating Hitler to the devil and the 'peach' to the forbidden fruit thing in Genesis?

I see the 'getting too cozy' with some evil too in this dream. ;)

Or, it could be you saw an advertisement for the peach drink while watching the WW2 t.v.show, and your mind just automatically associated the two? :)
