Re: annoying songs that get stuck in your head
Bow before MY 80's GEEKCHIC!
Bow wow wow
I want Candy:
I know a guy who's tough but sweet
He's so fine, he can't be beat
He's got everything that I desire
Sets the summer sun on fire
I want candy, I want candy
Go to see him when the sun goes down
Ain't no finer boy in town
You're my guy, just what the doctor ordered
So sweet, you make my mouth water
I want candy, I want candy
Candy on the beach, there's nothing better
But I like candy when it's wrapped in a sweater
Some day soon I'll make you mine,
Then I'll have candy all the time
I want candy, I want candy
I want candy, I want candy...
It ges better......
Martha and the Muffins:
Echo Beach
I know it's out of fashion
And a trifle uncool
But I can't help it
I'm a romantic fool
It's a habit of mine
To watch the sun go down
On Echo beach, I watch the sun go down
From nine till five I have to spend my time at work
The job is very boring, I'm an office clerk
The only thing that helps pass the time away
Is knowing I'll be back at Echo Beach some day
On a silent summer evening
The sky's alive with light
Building in the distance
Surrealistic sight
On Echo Beach
Waves make the only sound
On Echo Beach
There's not a soul around
From nine till five I have to spend my time at work
The job is very boring, I'm an office clerk
The only thing that helps pass the time away
Is knowing I'll be back at Echo Beach some day
Echo Beach
Far away in time
Echo Beach
Far away in time
REPEAT AND FADE
even better.....
MEN AT WORK:
DOWN UNDER! Chair bounce people!
Traveling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said,
"Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,
"I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
Lying in a den in Bombay
With a slack jaw, and not much to say
I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?"
And he said,
"Oh! Do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah)
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
I rest my case.No trees were harmed in the making of this sig, However many electrons were truly disturbed
Dont VOTE. It only encourages them!

Loser by Beck. Which is particularly irritating because the only intelegable words are "I'm a loser baby so why don't ya kill me."

"I don't really mind how much you love me
Ooh, a little is alright
When you say
come over and spend the night
Tonight

When I say I love you, you say you better
You better you better you bet
When I say I need you, you say you better
You better you better you bet
You better bet your life

I work in retail, and my store has in-store radio that is specifically engineered to be as annoying as possible. I get Taylor Swift and Justin Beiber songs stuck in my head on a regular basis.
Good thing I have another job elsewhere as my primary job now where listening to music is specifically prohibited, unless I'm on break. I am only in retail on weekends now.Curiosity never hurt anyone. It was stupidity that killed the cat.

Yes it does and I also have an amazing auto pilot ability. I can totally zone out in the car and yet, still react to traffic, make turns when needed, keep my speed at the speed limit, get to my destination, and snap out of it when required. Although I’m sure not remembering blocks of 15 to 20 minutes in the car isn’t necessarily a good thing.

I think the most annoying songs are anything by the Smashing Pumpkins. That lead singer gets on my nerves.
