God And Nietzsche
"God is dead" - Nietzsche
"Nietzche is dead" - God"Faith in what?" he asked himself, adrift in limbo.
"Faith in faith," he replied. "It isn't necessary to have something to believe in. It's only necessary to believe that somewhere there's something worthy of belief."

Shouldn't this be in the lockerroom or a humor section?"Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose.

Re: God And Nietzsche
Did God say this somewhere in the Bible, I must have missed that passage. Shame, it sounds enlightening.

Re: God And Nietzsche
Nietzsche wasn't just refering to the big guy in the sky. When he said "God is dead," it was an outright attack on the entire ideal realm.

Two false statements in a post eight words long is quite an achievement.

First, Nietzsche wrote a lot of things and the meaning in his works is not as obvious as you would believe, and for openers Nietzsche is probably one of the most misunderstood writers in modern history. He also wrote, 'If you look through the roof of an abandoned church you will see God.'
The best you can say is that Nietzsche and you have a very different worldview of God.
Second, can you cite where God said, "Nietzche is dead", or is the the rsult of a personal conversation between you and God.Go with the flow the river knows.

Re: God And Nietzsche
As a side note, since I've already joked about the matter, the whole thing is really based on a misunderstanding of Nietzsche. The joke in the OP only makes sense if Nietzsche's comment is read as a backhanded insult at theists. It's actually more of a warning to atheists.

Hey that pole looks really silly and uncomfortable up there. Maybe you ought to take it out?

Re: God And Nietzsche
IMO, that's an unusually insightful "snapshot" analysis of Nietzsche. Unusual because just as shunyadragon notes, Nietzsche is all too often misunderstood...
