Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
Jesus has a plan for you…

A couple of days after Jesus came into my life I was telling Gary even with Jesus now a big part of my life there still seemed to be something missing that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. And after all these years I can still remember the two of us sitting sipping cokes.

Crusty, he started the greatest thing you can do with your relationship with Jesus is to make a positive difference in the life of another. You need not be famous, rich, a powerful public official, a preacher, a CEO, a doctor, a lawyer, a nurse, a police officer, a firefighter, a writer, or any of a hundred other occupations you need only be you.

Jesus took a few smelly, ordinary, blue collar fishermen and changed the course of history. He didn’t walk into a temple and select 12 Rabbi’s. He didn’t walk into the seat of the government and select 12 political leaders. He didn’t go into the centers of high finance and select 12 wealthy persons. He started where he was in the center where ordinary people lived and worked.

Jesus didn’t send them to Discipleship School and wait for them to graduate with PhD’s in Discipleship he taught them in the arena where they lived he taught them with the things they lived with. He didn’t wait for them to learn complex theologies he taught them the way of the Kingdom - Love and serve God - Love and serve people. As he began making preparations to return to his Father he knew that as much as he taught them and as strong as their faith had grown it wouldn’t be enough but he didn’t send them to Faith Building School he promised them he would be with them through his Spirit.

Two centuries later Jesus is still saying, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.” He makes no demands to become any more than who you are. He won’t send you out into foreign lands he’ll encourage you to make a difference right where you are. He won’t expect you to know complex theology he won’t expect you to brush up on the latest missionary resources he will only expect you to reach out a helping hand and tell your story. That’s what he did for the 12 and that is what he’s doing for you.

Making a difference can be as simple as flashing someone a smile or as big as helping someone out financially. There is no higher calling in life than that of being fisher of men. In case you stumble over the word “fisher” you can use the word “friend”.

If there seems to be something missing in your life I hope this has helped you.

Walk in the Light with Jesus and you’ll never get lost!
    PEACE be unto you!
    Crusty T. Christian, the First

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13 LEB)

    Amen Crusty. Blessed words.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
