Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
“It isn’t over until I say it’s over”, God!

“Their strength and weapons were not what won the land and gave them victory! You loved them and fought with your powerful arm and your shining glory.” (Psalm 44:3, CEV)

If you have been reading these Glory Seed Devotionals for very long you know one bible verse that has become a solid foundation for me is John 6:63, “The Spirit is the one who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.” (LEB) The bible verse I've chosen for today's Glory Seed not only builds on that foundation but also puts us in the “winner’s bracket” time after time.

One the lessons life has drummed into me is there are winners and losers, sometimes winners lose and sometimes losers win! The truthfulness of those maxims are expressed by Jesus, “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life on account of me, this person will save it. For what is a person benefited if he gains the whole world but loses or forfeits himself?” (Luke 9:24-25 LEB)

One of the most life changing loser to winner experiences for me occurred in the early 1980's after I lost to a diagnoses of Myasthenia Gravis (a form of Muscular Dystrophy) prayers for a healing were being said by many people but were not being answered. Yet at the same time God was using the disease to grow me spiritually. Somehow as MG weakened my body the Holy Spirit was strengthening me spiritually. Then in the late 1980's early 1990's the disease slowly went it to remission which is where it is at today.

I think it was the great New York Yankee Catcher Yogi Berra that said, “It ain't over till it’s over.” But he wasn't the first it was God who said it first only this is how he said it, “It isn't over until I say it's over!” And God didn't say it in relationship to a baseball game it is in YOUR life he promises it!

    Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary

The LORD gives strength to those who are weary… But those who trust the LORD will find new strength…” (Isaiah 40:29, 31 CEV)
