Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
    Esbriet and the Holy Spirit…

“And do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may approve what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2, LEB)

I am taking a new medication called Esbriet for Pulmonary Fibrosis. The information packet said that taking Esbriet will not relieve my symptoms. In other words I will not even know I am taking it because it will not take away my shortness of breath. But what it does is work “behind the scenes” in stopping my lungs from worsening. It reminded me of how the Holy Spirit works in us “behind the scenes” building and strengthening providing us with what we need in our daily lives. How even though the “storms” that come our way continue to rage we can and will experience the Peace of Jesus in our hearts.

When I think about how Pulmonary Fibrosis is affecting my life it is more important for me to know Esbriet will “arrest” the disease so will not worsen. In a like manner it is more important for me to know the Holy Spirit is hard at work giving me what I need to “weather” the storms that accompany my everyday living.

Every morning, afternoon, and night I take 3 capsules of Esbriet, setting myself up to maintain my lung function. Every day reading my bible, other good Christian themed books, and praying I am opening myself up to the life giving/changing ministry of the Holy Spirit. The apostle Paul puts it this way. “I run toward the goal, so that I can win the prize of being called to heaven. This is the prize that God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done. All of us who are mature should think in this same way. And if any of you think differently, God will make it clear to you. But we must keep going in the direction that we are now headed.” (Philippians 3:14–16, CEV)

You may not need to take Esbriet 3 times a day – but you DO NEED to avail yourself to the Holy Spirit every chance you get!

    Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary

The LORD gives strength to those who are weary… But those who trust the LORD will find new strength…” (Isaiah 40:29, 31 CEV)

Amen Crusty! I know *I* need the Holy Spirit every day!
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
