Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
Timeless words to a time lost generation…

In our “gotta have it now” day to day life patience is running close to becoming extinct. Faster computers, faster food, faster money transfers, accelerated production needs, faster transportation all weave their way into our lives consuming our serenity leaving in its place high levels of stress.

We speak of “New York minutes” and in some places measure time in nanoseconds. It seems as if our attempts to build a better world has backfired. It seems as if we’ve created a monster that is quickly gnawing away our peace and tranquility.

One day as a youngster my dad and I were working on a wood project and he was explaining to me about how to use tools, “when you use tools for what they are not meant to be used for they will break,” I recall him saying. That same principle applies to us when we live our lives in a manner in which the Creator has not created us we will break down.

I suspect the Psalmist knew nothing of our lifestyle but he must have had some prophetic insight because Psalm 62 addresses each of us on our superfast highway to oblivion.

“Patiently wait for God alone, my soul! For he is the one who gives me confidence. He alone is my protector and deliverer. He is my refuge; I will not be upended. God delivers me and exalts me; God is my strong protector and my shelter. Trust in him at all times, you people! Pour out your hearts before him! God is our shelter! (Selah)” (Psalm 62:5–8, The NET Bible)

Timeless words from a timeless book for a time lost generation!

    Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary

The LORD gives strength to those who are weary… But those who trust the LORD will find new strength…” (Isaiah 40:29, 31 CEV)
