Pearls and Images

Hello,

OK I am new here. What are these "pearls"? It seems I have 205 of them. What does that mean? Should I cast them before swine? Are they like boba? Should I mix them with my iced tea?

I have tried down load some images form my profile or avatr but I am told that there is a limit of 40 KB and I cannot find anything worth posting that small. OK, fine, rules are rules. Then I see the images other folks use and I cannot imagine they are only 40 KB. So what am I missing?

For some reason, there is what seems to me to be, a penguin on my profile. Did I do something wrong? Penguins can be very freightening animals - I know several fish with strong feelings on the topic. Tell me the truth.

Nothing profound just some nuts and bolts issues.

If boba are like pearls, then yes. Otherwise, no.

I've not heard of anyone who's had much luck with that.

40KB is the limit for smilies I think, but the limit for avatars should be larger than that. If you need something resized, send it my way. I'd be glad to help.

That penguin tells everyone that you are male (as you set in your profile). The females have penguins with little red bows (as opposed to the blue ties).

40KB is the limit for smilies I think, but the limit for avatars should be larger than that. If you need something resized, send it my way. I'd be glad to help.

My old posting notes indicate that:

40 is the KB limit for an avatar, and 120 X 120 is the pixel limit. As an example, my avatar is 73 X 107 pixels and even with animation added is only 13.643 KB.

The Smiley limits are 10,240 bytes, and 100 X 100 pixels.

Any image to put into a post larger than 200 X 200 pixels will automatically resize to with in those limits. Clicking on a resized image will enlarge it to its original size.

You can resize both avatars and smileys using any graphics program. For a quick fix, MS paint, which I believe comes with all MS Operating systems, is adequate. Just make sure you save them in a compatible format such as GIF, JPEG, or PNG.

There are a few glitches you may run into, and if they are a bother give me a holler.

You will notice quite clearly now that I have posted, that there is a HUGE difference between the male and female penguins used to proclaim our genders.
