      You have to ask yourself: are you currently acting in the roles defined in Scriptures? If not, then you should question whether you be in the faith. Is Christ, whom you have made profession of, really Lord over your life? Obeying Jesus’ commandments is love for Him.

      Well, let's see: We are to come along side and help those who are in sin or in trouble. We are to help resolve conflicts (if a brother has offended you....). There are teachers placed in the church for edification.

      Do I need to go on? All of these things are a part of a Christian marriage counselor's mandate.

      Of course, there are those in the church who just say that the man has to take charge of the woman and straighten her out so that the marriage works, but that's not exactly scriptural, either.
