Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
Hope isn’t just another four letter word!

“Now that we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts. And his Spirit tells us that God is our Father. You are no longer slaves. You are God’s children, and you will be given what he has promised.” (Galatians 4:6–7, CEV)

“You will be given what he has promised.” Have 8 words ever sounded sweeter? Have 8 words ever shown brighter? Do they warm your heart? Are they a breath of fresh air? The way I see / understand things the answer is NO, NO, NO and NO.

Does a NO answer surprise you?

    “You + will + be + given + what + he + has + promised = HOPE.

The way I see / understand things it is the “Spirit of his Son” that turns words of HOPE to words of PROMISE! When the Spirit brings life they do sound sweet when our lives turn sour! When the Spirit brings life they do brighten a dark and foreboding day! When the Spirit brings life they do warm our lives on a long winter’s night! When the Spirit brings life they are a breath of fresh air when our lives become stale!

Hope isn’t just another four letter word. Hope isn’t based on expecting something good will come out of something bad, although that does happen. Hope is based on believing “You are no longer slaves. You are God’s children, and you will be given what he has promised.”

    Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary

The LORD gives strength to those who are weary… But those who trust the LORD will find new strength…” (Isaiah 40:29, 31 CEV)
