Oh, and if I decide to play, do I have to get the full rule book? Or is this file sufficient?

If you like what you see, I would highly recommend getting the GURPS 4e book called "Basic Set: Characters," which you can find for under $25 some places(such as Amazon). It normally retails for $35.

But to answer your question, that file contains everything that you absolutely need to make a character and join in a game. It will just be a much more basic character. Since you'll probably start out as a player(not the person running the game), as long as you let any group you find know that you're new, they would probably be more than willing to help you if there's a particular skill or ability you want but can't seem to model with GURPS Lite.

Still, I can't recommend the "Basic Set: Characters" book enough. But again, only if you like what you see in the Lite file and think it's worth the $25 commitment. I can't make that call for you.

Weapons in Skies of Arcadia are neat.

They're made using a material called "moonstone."

This allows them to take on elemental properties of nearby moonstone.

Green for life. Red for fire. Purple for ice.
