Re: Shepherd's belated bonus point spam thread.
Actually, she's always been like that. Whenever we would give her half of a Milkbone to chew on, she would take it to her carrier and keep it there.

And we often gave her half a Milkbone per day, thinking that she was eating them.

Then, the first time Mom tried to clean out her carrier (the carrier is lined with towels to make it more comfortable), Maddie barged into it and, facing out, began growling at us.

If we tried to approach it with our hands, she tried to bite them.

That's when we suspected something was up and she was hiding something in her carrier.

We found lik 15 MilkBone halves stored under the towels!

Re: Shepherd's belated bonus point spam thread.
We then started breaking up the Milkbone halves into much smaller bits for her to eat. That worked.

Re: Shepherd's belated bonus point spam thread.
Ezra, my dear, I've looked through two French dictionaries (real French dictionaries) and I even went on a search online for family names.
I came back with nothing.
One of the French dictionaries, however, mentions that "Mounier" happens to be the name of two famous French revolutionaries/philosophers/politicians, Emmanuel Mounier and Jean-Joseph Mounier.
But, yeah, LaMounier apparently holds no meaning in French. All I know is that "la" is the feminine definite article for "the" and any ending with "-ier" usually succeeds the profession of a man. (Example: "Fermier" for a famer because he works on a "ferme." To say the farmer is a girl, she would be a "fermičre.")
Which, of course, makes the whole issue strange: why would something that is masculine (-ier) have a feminine definite article (la)?
