As I wait for the butter to soften for the madeleines I have to make, I'm gonna use the "spare time" to do a few chores.

Most notably covering the vanilla madeleines in milk chocolate.

I ended up purchasing a different brand of chocolate for the madeleines yesterday, but I am hoping it is good enough.

I will have to taste it, of course, to be sure.

No, seriously. The stores that I went to yesterday had me pulling the hairs out of my head.

Store #1, that always has the chocolate that I use, didn't have anymore chocolate. Plus, there was apparently no sales clerk available to ask if there was anymore chocolate.

So, I hauled my behind to Store #2 because it normally has good brands of chocolate at a reasonable price.

But I need to taste the chocolate first. If it passes my palate approval, it goes on the cookies.

I did say "stores" in the beginning of my rant.

After the chocolate hunt, I went to Supermarket #1 to purchase lemons and oranges for the ingredients.

Supermarket #1 had no yellow lemons, tons of limes on sale, and the oranges that were available looked very unappetising.

That's not good enough for my cookies.

Ergo, I took a trip to Supermarket #2 and found what I needed, even a couple boxes more of cake flour.
