It's a little harder to knit with at first but I am getting used to it.

I still think that pure wool is easiest to knit.

And contrary to popular belief, wool can be very soft and not itchy at all.

Acrylic is very itchy in comparison.

Wool is also good for keeping cool in the summer for very short periods.

People don't realize that wool keeps summer heat out as well as body heat in.

It will build up to uncomfortable levels fast, and wool doesn't pull perspiration from the skin well.

That's why we wear thin cotton usually instead of wool in the summer.

It won't keep the summer heat out, but it will pull the perspiration away from the skin.

So in the long term, cotton keeps you drier and cooler than wool.
