It's the sword, isn't it? It isn't a Khergit blade. It's only called a "Knightly Blade". It's a bit smaller than a claymore but bigger than a 1.5-hander (the real name for which is banned on TWeb ). I use it because it's fast like a small sword but still has almost the reach of a large one and so is suitable for using from horseback.

The Anglo-Saxon faction would be the Swadians. They have squires, knights, paladins, crusaders and such.

The Nordic faction is called the Nords. Not a lot of thought went into that one.

The Rhodoks and Vaegirs seem to be variations on the Swadians, culturally. The Rhodoks are good spearmen, and the Vaegirs are good archers.

The Swadians are more refined though, whereas the Vaegirs especially seem to have something of a barbaric quality to them. Maybe it's all that snow. The Nords, oddly enough, have no snow despite being at the north end of the map.
