Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
    You are a…

“Christ encourages you, and his love comforts you. God’s Spirit unites you, and you are concerned for others.” (Philippians 2:1, CEV)

You are a one-of-a-kind-unrepeated-miracle-of-God-destined-to-impact-a-world-of-one! Author Max Lucado writes. “You don’t have to be like the world to have an impact on the world. You don’t have to be like the crowd to change the crowd. You don’t have to lower yourself down to their level to lift them up to your level. Holiness doesn’t seek to be odd. Holiness seeks to be like God.” (A Gentle Thunder)

“God’s Spirit unites you…” Everything you are… Every person… Every storm… Every setback… Every blessing… Every thought… Every painful moment… Every negative experience… Every positive experience… Every mountaintop experience… Not only gives you the distinction of an unrepeated miracle of God but also under the auspices of the Holy Spirit makes you an invaluable means of impacting another person or persons. God puts your life experiences together making you an unstoppable force in the lives of those he puts in your path.

One of my favorite-all-time-verses is found in Paul’s first letter to the Corinthian Christians. “…God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And He chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.” (1 Corinthians 1:27-28 NLT)

Personally I don’t consider myself foolish (although I’ve done some pretty foolish things) but when someone asks me how can I believe in a God that would allow me to go through 15 major surgeries I can understand what Paul was trying to say. But life isn’t just about what we experience or don’t experience, life is about what we do with our experiences, life is about standing up to those who consider us foolish and saying, “God takes my experiences and gives me the experience of Jesus in return.”

Your impact on the world need not be worldwide because God is a God of one person at a time. Have trouble believing that? “Jesus said, ‘In the same way there is more happiness in heaven because of one sinner who turns to God than over ninety-nine good people who don't need to.’” (Luke 15:7 CEV) Keep in mind it is the Holy Spirit who really impacts the world not you or I.

You are a one-of-a-kind-unrepeated-miracle-of-God-destined-to-impact-a-world-of-one! Believe it! Anticipate it! Experience it! Be transformed by it!

    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary

The LORD gives strength to those who are weary… But those who trust the LORD will find new strength…” (Isaiah 40:29, 31 CEV)
