      I usually prefer Eastern over Western art...

      ... but I've fallen in love with Caravaggio's work. What a tortured genius. Any other fans?

      Well, they're very beautiful, but he renders figures which are oddly Caucasian-looking for natives of the ancient near-East.

      Yes, that is true. The interplay between light and dark is so stunning, though.
