Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise

Building on the “What if” game…

“Where are you LORD?” Is a question everyone of us have over the course of our lives asked. When the darkness of hopelessness does not lift, “Where are you LORD?” When the Peace of Jesus heads east and we're heading west, “Where are you LORD?” When joy and happiness appear as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, “Where are you LORD?” Are you in touch with past experiences? Are you in touch with what you're now experiencing? Can you see the storm building up created by the question on the horizon?

If you know what I am writing about then the Psalmist (who asked “the question” before you) has another question for you to give consideration to. “What if the LORD had not been on our side? Let all Israel repeat: What if the LORD had not been on our side when people attacked us? They would have swallowed us alive in their burning anger. The waters would have engulfed us; a torrent would have overwhelmed us. Yes, the raging waters of their fury would have overwhelmed our very lives. Praise the LORD, who did not let their teeth tear us apart!” (Psalms 124:1-6 NLT)

There are times (and I have no answer to the why question) God chooses to work unseen and unfelt in the background but he so chooses. However, when we look into “times, rear view mirror” and see the LORD has been on our side all along we can (if we so choose) have faith that the storms of the present are destined to be the blessings of our tomorrows.

    Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed!

    Grace and PEACE, Amen!

    Gary
