I want a graphics tablet...

Recently I've been thinking about getting a graphics tablet. The problem is, I don't know which one to get. I've been looking around on http://www.amazon.com for one, but I just don't know if I can trust the reviewers--for all I know the reviewers could be rating their own product.

I would like to get a decent, cheap (inexpensive, that is) tablet. If I have to get an expensive one I don't mind though, as long as it's good. Do you have any recommendations?

Wacom is the premiere maker of tablets. I don't have any suggestion on particular models.

I've owned two Wacoms. Neither is in the current product lineup, but I've never had a day's trouble with either one of them hardware-wise or in terms of software support from Wacom.

if you get one, get a larger one. the little ones are not worth the trouble. and make special note of the active area of the tablet. A lot of them look larger but the active area is only part of what you see. dont bother with a 4 x 5 tablet or smaller, a 6 x 9 tablet is probably the smallest one to consider. Also make sure you get one that has a mouse as well as a stylus. The stylus is a real pain for regular computer usage, you are contantly having to lay it down to type.

I like Wacom myself.
