      The Didache

Ive recently been reading alot of historical Jesus books and one thing thats suprised me is that the Didache is hardly ever mentioned. Ive not been able find any large sections concerning it in anything. From what I have read many give it a pre-70 date and it seems to me and that that should have lots of implications historically about the early Church but no one on either side seems to think so.

      Any thoughts?

The problem is that most have redated the document to be 90 AD or thereabouts, making it farther away than many canonical books from the time of Christ, given even critical and liberal scholarship.

It seems that the dates given for any documents close to the lifetime of Jesus and the apostles concerning Jesus and His teachings, reflects the view of (in)errancy and accuracy of the scholar making the judgement. There certainly seems to be a correlation to me. Just my opinion.
