They've taken the storyline in some interesting more adultish directions in recent years. I guess some of us that grew up on Transformers have grown up some...

Jazz was my favorite as a kid.
and if you do a transformers search on youtube, you can see some of the commericals/sneak peaks for the movie. (although some have said the footage is not from the movies)
No matter what happens, someone will find a way to take it too seriously.

My son is going to be ecstatic!
If I have a mystical experience, an experience that's so overwhelming that I know now that there's a God, the cognitive fallout from that is irrelevant. The fact that that experience can be explained by psychologists in numerous ways is irrelevant to the fact that I now know.

Optimus Prime: Dying and Rising Deity:
A tragic constant of the character is his predilection for self-sacrifice - across all continuities and depictions of him (and later, his modern namesakes), it is almost a certainty that Prime will meet his end and later return to life (sometimes to repeat the process).Last edited by Piebald; June 11th 2006 at 04:27 PM.

Isn't the passing on of the doohickey inside him a form of reincarnation?

I hope he shows up. I always prefer Transformers with him in the picture, though there were some interesting storylines in the comicbooks where individual Autobots(Ratchet?) stood up heroically in his place against evil...

A Transformers Movie for 'grown-up' fan-boys?...All is right with the world.
I may have to start a thread of covers from my "Transformers" comic book (Marvel, Dreamwave, etc) collection. Anyone into the recent books by IDW?
