  • Rugby World Cup 2015 Thread

So the Rugby World Cup is only 18 days away.

The All Blacks have just announced their squad: http://www.allblacks.com/News/27934/...2015-announced
We've got three players who have played over 100 tests (including Richie McCaw's record of 142 tests), Ma’a Nonu will play his hundredth test during the tournament.

South Africa has announced their team, however the two times World Champions could be barred from playing as the Agency for New Agenda party (ANA) is seeking a court order to make players and officials surrender their passports as the quota of black players is too low. (had to have 30%, only have 29% of the team)

    Fiji
    Uruguay

    POOL B
    South Africa
    Samoa
    Japan

    USA

    POOL C

      This weekend's games had:

      England beating Fiji 35-11 http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/match/14184#latest

France easily beat Italy 32-10 http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/match/14221#latest

Tonga loosing to Georgia 10-17 http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/match/14206#latest

      Ireland thumped Canada 50-7 http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/match/14220#latest

In what is probably the BIGGEST upset in rugby in years, Japan (who have only ever beaten Zimbabwe in a RWC pool game and that was 24 years ago) played their hearts out and beat the South African Sprinboks (two times Champions) 32-34. http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/match/14194

      Samoa beat USA 24-16 http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/match/14195#latest

Wales thumped Uruguay and got a bonus point, but at the cost of injuries to their players which will hurt them going forward. 54-9 http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/match/14185#latest

And finally (in the wee hours of the morning for me) the New Zealand All Black had a tough time keeping back an extremely determined Argentinian Pumas team to get a final score of 26-16 to the All Blacks.
