Are you from the Southeastern US, DB? Now that I am, I've learned to say, "Y'all won't know what hit y'all." Using it twice in one sentence is one of my favorite things!

Well, no. We do business with people from that area though. I tend to pick up on speech patterns.

Spent most of my childhood up the northern part of the US, in western Washington state. People find my accent a little puzzling; I think I've picked up a little of my mother's speech...she hails from the midwest.

Real apologetics is dialogical. It doesn't simply defend a certain type of Christianity, but invites others to engage themselves with the worldview of Jesus that is never owned by any particular tradition. It's a critical part of discernment about how we communicate the identity and significance of Jesus in our cultural settings.

So ban away, buddy! I'd much rather have TWeb get the spite-money that you shuck away from people.

One need not imply complete liberal pluralism to affirm that there is diversity in Christian traditions, with none of them simply standing alone on the B-I-B-L-E. The way I see it is that having "the right knowledge about God" is not critical for salvation like having knowledge of God and being in submission to God. Now, the latter shd lead to one caring more about the former, as it does matter for how we let our lights shine, but if you study Christian History, you'll find that throughout our history there have been disagreements on the right understanding of God and that attempts to force out all heretics have generally required unhealthy strong alliances with the state that have in the long-run done more harm than good to the overall witness of Christianity.
