With ISIS in America, and young moderate Muslims fleeing to Syria to join the terror group, the response of MacArthur High School officials was rational and reasonable. This story is pure agitprop most fatal. “If you see something, say something” is now racism. And for destroying this simple principle of self-protection, young Ahmed Mohamed is a media star. Not only has Barack Obama invited him to the White House, but NASA has also invited Ahmed to meet with them, as has Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook. The whole thing has clearly been a setup, and its effect will be to make Americans less safe. If you ever see a Muslim with a suspicious object, remember the lesson of Ahmed Mohamed: to say something would be “racism.” That could end up being the epitaph of America and the free world.

It turns out, too, he boy was more circumspect with answering questions than the narrative has led us to believe. When questioned, he simply said, "It's a clock," and refused to give any further elaboration when pressed by school officials and later the police. That's ultimately what led to his arrest, because his behavior was suspicious.

To be honest it certainly does seem a tad odd that he chose to house his clock inside a brief case and most clocks that I'm familiar with generally don't have a mess of circuit boards. Still the obvious lack of explosive material should have been a dead give away that it wasn't a bomb.

Actually it was much smaller than that. Look at the pictures of it again. Note the size of the plug.

In that picture, there is no battery, correct. Do you know there was no battery at the time it was confiscated? Do you remember the part where a teacher heard it beep when it was in his backpack?

The red panel in the lid is an LED display - it reads 88 88 - so the power is off.
