Big Media Worried About Election Results
As the day nears, key races have tightened and the Media is getting worried. I've seen several articles such as this one: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061024/...cs_voting_dc_4 showing us that the media is pre-empting this by hinting that "if the Republicans win, it is because of voter fraud!" Give me a break. I'm going to lay it out for you with this prediction: the Republicans will retain both the House and the Senate, although the Democrats will make small gains. The media in response will declare it a "victory" for Democrats, despite all their early crowing of Pelosi and Reid. In some of the close races that they once thought the Democrat candidates would be victorious, they will blame the losses on voter fraud, broken voting machines or racist districts not allowing minorities to vote. Let the games begin!

This doesn't change the fact that voter fraud is a serious problem to democracy.
In both Chicago and Texas, dead democrats voted for years. Personally, I think the time of "anonymous" voting should be over, and our votes should be tied to a verifiable number, such as our SS number.

If Republicans like Katherine Harris wouldn't commit voter fraud, then it wouldn't happen.

Re: Big Media Worried About Election Results
It doesn't matter which method is used. If it is a close election, and the Democrat loses a close state, they will whine about fraud or broken machines or whatever. They tried this with the whole "hanging chad" business in Florida and despite even several counts by the news media there, guess what? Bush still won. I don't buy into the Ohio excuse either. Be real men and admit defeat.

That's it, decoski, be a real man and admit defeat, at least in the House.Posts 494 shows evolution to be true.

I admit defeat for REPUBLICANS, not Conservatives. The Republicans left Conservatism.

Santorum is not a conservative then? Or is he not a republican? Which is it?

Didn't you notice all those liberal Republican politicians like Santorum demanding marriage for gays, evolution be taught to all beginning at the first grade, and urging all to vacation in Paris?

It’s surprising that such an astute political mind could turn out to be so wrong.

I think the big media news this election is how close the pundits and pollsters came to predicting the actual results. Probably a combination of better polling methods and a dash of sheer luck.
