Arminian Error #5
Arminians think that even those savvy people, who do decide to choose to believe in Jesus Christ, are still subject to damnation in hell, if these savvy people fall away from a show of faith, or fail to work and maintain their new standing with God.
Calvinists believe that because God's election is particular, and Christ's atonement was specific to the elect, and the Holy Spirit's calling of these individually named sons of God (in the Beloved) is irresistible, there is no way any of these childred can lose their position in Christ (as they were created), nor can they lose the inheritance promised to them via the everlasting Covenant of the Grace of God.Reader

Re: Arminian Error #5
Uh oh...major strawman. Arminians will not agree that it is about being more "savvy", even if they can't exactly escape that idea when pressed. They will hate the choice of words, as it makes them look like prideful jerks, before being given a chance to put it in their own terms.

I was just trying to be objective before the Arminians get in here and start protesting. I can understand why. You would do the same if they wrote about pereceived Calvinistic errors in the same way you have portrayed theirs.
I take it that you dragged this out into 5 threads to make sure A-man won't fail to see it. As an area moderator, I can't recommend this practice in the future, as it is known to the staff as, what we call, "thread flooding"... and is a discouraged practice.
Well Reader, you've asserted these errors, I suppose your ready to back it up by Scripture and I'll be following along.
Thanks, GB"Ultimately I don't care what some theologian or some system taught, it's what God's Word says that matters... and rightly dividing it is the supreme challenge of life." GoBism

No work is necessary. Just continuance in the faith.

Re: Arminian Error #5
Arminians believe that faith is an inherent and human achievement; therefore faith is the works of men.

Faith precludes boasting. And it only comes about due to the grace of God. That it can be resisted is what you should confront.

God's grace is irresistible. That is what you should admit.
