Theology 201 Guidelines

This is the forum to discuss the spectrum of views within Christianity on God's foreknowledge and election such as Calvinism, Arminianism, Molinism, Open Theism, Process Theism, Restrictivism, and Inclusivism, Christian Universalism and what these all are about anyway. Who is saved and when is/was their salvation certain? How does God exercise His sovereignty and how powerful is He? Is God timeless and immutable? Does a triune God help better understand God's love for mankind?

While this area is for the discussion of these doctrines within historic Christianity, all theists interested in discussing these areas within the presuppositions of and respect for the Christian framework are welcome to participate here. This is not the area for debate between nontheists and theists, additionally, there may be some topics that within the Moderator's discretion fall so outside the bounds of mainstream evangelical doctrine that may be more appropriately placed within Comparative Religions 101 Nontheists seeking only theistic participation only in a manner that does not seek to undermine the faith of others are also welcome - but we ask that Moderator approval be obtained beforehand.

Atheists are welcome to discuss and debate these issues in the Apologetics 301 or General Theistics 101 forum without such restrictions. Theists who wish to discuss these issues outside the parameters of orthodox Christian doctrine are invited to Unorthodox Theology 201.

Remember, our forum rules apply here as well. If you haven't read them now would be a good time.

I think this is an important verse to the fact that you must be spiritually born with a new heart in order to have faith... Id say it produces faith, if you're born again then you have faith.
And then the tag line "ask and it shall be given" etc.
Oddly - flowers92's own tag line says that things must be done.

Not all who call Jesus "Lord" will enter, but only those who do the will of God. Interpretations of Paul's comments regarding works need careful consideration.
1Cor 15:34 Come to your senses as you ought and stop sinning; for I say to your shame, there are some who know not God.

There are several banquet parables Jesus gives us in which:
The master invited (called/drew) people who refused to go. Everyone that did go was drawn by the invitation of God to go, but could also refuse to go.

“The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

In order to declare it -

Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: 1 Corinthians 15:34 King James Bible
Come to your senses and stop sinning, for some people are ignorant about God. 1 Corinthians 15:34 Holman Christian Standard Bible
Come back to your senses as you should, and stop sinning! For some of you—I say this to your shame—don't fully know God. 1 Corinthians 15:34, International Standard Version

          Ephesians 5:14 - Apostle Paul,

13 But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. 14 For this reason it says, "Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you." 15 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise,…
