  • Donald Trump, Snake Oil Salesman

    Check out this article:http://time.com/4101290/what-the-leg...t-its-founder/

I've had some serious reservations about Trump since he announced his campaign, and they've only gotten worse. I've not really tried to research him very much, but came across this article by Time magazine. Basically, he personally made $5 million by tricking people into paying for useless real estate advice and he's been being sued for it for around 5 years now. And, get this, he claims he started the whole organization as a charity.

I have no idea how I've not heard of this before, but it's pretty interesting. Hardly the type of person I'd want as a president, him being an alleged racketeer and all.

Edit: I forgot to add, some people paid up to $34,995 for Trump's "snake oil".

"If you believe, take the first step, it leads to Jesus Christ. If you don't believe, take the first step all the same, for you are bidden to take it. No one wants to know about your faith or unbelief, your orders are to perform the act of obedience on the spot. Then you will find yourself in the situation where faith becomes possible and where faith exists in the true sense of the word." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer, The Cost of Discipleship

The more interesting claim I've seen made is that if he had simply put his money in a savings account, he'd have more money than he does now. ie his supposedly elite business skills aren't very great.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump

      Read the whole thing. Wow.

Aye, considering that he can afford to fail in many idiotic business enterprises (His airlines and casinos come to mind), I wouldn't consider his business advice all that valuable. He hardly risks anything, and anyone who hasn't put anything on the line hardly merits hearing advice from.

I suppose the article mentions that he went bankrupt four times, necessarily robbing millions or billions from innocent investors and others.

I think his excuse for that was that he, personally, didn't go bankrupt - only some of the businesses he owns did. And he's SMART, because he used the existing laws to grow his wealth, and he can do the same for YOU, American citizens!

Existing laws like eminent domain laws to get property from people who didn't want to sell their homes. One of his less attractive use of existing laws.

And... did Dad give YOU a "small loan" of a million dollars?

He's good at annoying liberals, but beyond that I wouldn't trust this man to sit the right way on a toilet seat.

He's good at annoying ALL politicians, and, for that reason, it would be fun to see him in office.... but, at what price?

That sounds like a description of Jesse "the Body" Ventura, the 38th Governor of Minnesota.

Could we vote for his hair, instead of him? I bet his hair would make a great president.
