  • Climate change - the real cause

California is experiencing one of the worst droughts in its history. Israel once suffered a severe drought. Perhaps a study of that drought will give some ideas about how to cope with the one in California.

Here is what caused it the drought.

The drought began when the people of Israel turned from God and began to worship Baal. It ended when they repented of their Baal worship and returned to God.
The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.
    Revelation 16:8-9 ESV
The brutal, soul-shaking truth is that we are so earthly minded we are of no heavenly use.

Moved to a more appropriate forum. Nat. Sci. would not encompass a purely Biblical Theme.

California's drought may have ended this winter, but I don't think they repented.

Actually, there are increasing cycles of droughts since the last Ice Age. The Sahara and much of the Middle East was once a grassland savanah. The increasing drought cycles caused the human migration to the river valleys and stimulated the civilizations in Egypt, Israel, and Mesopotamia. This increasing of the desert region of the world is apparent all around the world particularly recently in Asia and America. It is a matter of debat how much of the recent increase in droughts is due to Global Warming, or the continuing natural rend to the growing of arid regions.
