      Re: cancer cure

I've only heard of one drug that might fight cancer, celebrex, but if you google it and cancer, you'll see that they say aspirin might prevent it as well. So, anything that might stop inflammation is probably a good bet, so long as it doesn't cause other problems, like bleeding ulcers, etc. or heart problems. Drinking a glass of orange juice every day is supposed to also stop cancer, or keeping your body at an anti-inflammatory state, or ph state. I've seen too many people die of cancer to say that there are any cures. I've only heard of one cure by prayer, a young man in Toronto years ago with brain cancer, who was prayed over by his congregation, and it went away. I think we should do our best, and leave the rest to our heavenly Father.

Here's a few 'do our best' things that I have just come across recently. If you're a woman over 50, get a mammogram. If you're a woman or man over 50, get a cancer bowel screening test done. If there is history of ANY cancer in your immediate family, see if there is a genetic test you can have done to see if there is a chance you might get it, and if it does say you might have a chance, then test or watch for it. There is a blood test that a woman can have done that could show whether or not she has ovarian cancer (certain markers in the blood) Get it done if you have family history of this disease, or if you show bloating and weight gain in the lower abdomen area that doesn't make sense with your usual diet. I can't think of anything else, other than if you've got persistent headaches, dizziness, get it checked out. It could be a stroke or cancer. I'm sure there are more. I've been a practical nurse, and though I have seen many die with cancer, I can also say I have been surprised how long a lot of people live with it too. So, there is hope. It can be more of a chronic disease in some cases. The best thing to stop it in the major area I see, is to stop smoking. I saw two women in their 60's die of breast cancer, and both of their husbands smoked. Second hand smoking does kill.

There is a book I read by Madison Cavanaugh that boasts of a cure that's been around for more than 170 years, called "The One Minute Cure". I found it to be very informative.

Nothing was known about medicine 170 years ago. The magic cure for everything was bloodletting.
Can you tell some more about Madison Cavanaugh?

The practice of medicine has been around as far back as 170 years ago during the reign of Queen Victoria, the people of India, which was then a colony of England, treated (not allowed to say cured) a wide array of illnesses from serious ones such as cholera and malaria all the way to colds and flu with the use of bio-oxidative therapy.

I couldn't find a good study of bio-oxidative therapy. There are many claims and anectdotes to be sure. The principle seems to be contradicted by the existence of antioxidants. Biological systems manufacture antioxidants to absorb free radicals. It does not make sense to introduce highly reactive oxygen to such systems.

      Re: cancer cure

There is more feedback on DCA (as it is called now).
An article in Nature magazine: Experimental cancer drug resurfaces Apparently drug companies are now looking for a more expensive drug that works the same way...
      A TV article : Canada
A DCA web site : DCA
A critical blog with a series of articles : Orac. It is the only criticism I could find and it dates from 2007.

Finally a warning. I can't mention web sites that sell DCA as that would be advertising. But beware: At least one seller has been convicted of selling lactose as DCA.

      Re: cancer cure

Cancer is not a single disease. It is a large and complex family of malignancies that can affect virtually every organ in the body. There are around 200 different types of cancer. It is a disease caused by the loss of control over a cell`s reproduction capacity.Conventional approaches to cancer treatment have generally been studied for safety and effectiveness through a rigorous scientific process.
