Illustrator and photographer, both ...the artistic 'double threat' !
In my opinion, the single most telling piece of evidence that shows how poorly we're manifesting our call to care for animals is the recent creation of factory farms. Over the last century we have, to a large degree, reduced farm animals to commercialized commodities whose only value is found in how efficiently we can produce and slaughter them for profit. Consequently, more than 26 billion animals each year are forced to live in miserable, overcrowded warehouses, where there is absolutely nothing natural about their existence and where they are subjected to barbaric, painful, industrial procedures.
This is a far cry from what God meant when he told us to exercise "dominion." (Pastor Greg Boyd.)

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

I like the photograph of the trees, it has a "classic" feel. My old photography teacher who believed in the Zone System would have approved of the range of contrast. Also, there is a lot there to hold the eye.

Nice collection of pics, Saria.
People aren't moral and rational because some sort of religion or atheism has automatically put that moral or rational thinking in them; people are moral and rational because they are the image of a loving and wise God.

I know this is going to sound very, very odd; but hear me out: that first photograph reminds me of the Holocaust. The grainy black and white picture of trees by a fence reminds me of some concentration camp.
I told you it would sound odd :-)

Re: show us your art
It reminds me more of being late for school as a kid: empty streets, empty fields, all the other kids are inside -- oh no! I'm late!

So I made a Haiku:
Still trees, quiet street,
Silent gate, big empty field
Run! Late for school! (Again.)
