I celebrate the Resurrection EVERY Sunday.
Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

We meet Saturday evenings instead, to prepare for Sunday. We have the odd mid-week service when a major feast doesn't fall on a Sunday, but it's not a regular occurrence except during Lent.

OK, so "the great roundup" happens, and there's a huge crowd of people standing at the Gates of Heaven waiting to get in. Saint Pete, of course, is standing at the Gate, giving instruction to the crowd.

Pedro is in the back, and straining to hear what's going on....

Suddenly, the crowd erupts in a big joyous celebration, cheering and applauding.

Pedro taps the guy in front of him and ask, "what did he say"?

    The guy tells Pedro.....

"He said Wednesday Nights don't count!"

Merry Christmas to one and all.
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

On our third Christmas together, I gave my wife three wood-carved painted birds. To be honest they looked like ducks, but I cut out three white cardboard speech bubbles and affixed them to each of the three ducks. The first duck said, "Nous ne sommes pas des canards." The second duck said, "Nous sommes des poulets." And the third duck said, "Nous somes les trois poulets français!"
