Was Jesus' second temptation a public spectacle?

When Jesus and Satan appeared on the Second Temple's roof, were they seen by the temple priests and passersby? Since Jesus wanted to keep his divine identity hidden, any public appearance of talking with a demon would compromise him and maybe associate him with demonic forces altogether in the eyes of the Jews, so I presume he made himself invisible, but I don't see anywhere this to be intimated in Matthew or Luke. And what about Satan? He'd have an interest in being visible, for his presence on the Temple would be at least seen as a sign of defilement and corruption of it, if not making Jesus sin.

Who would be looking at the top of the Temple? People don't usually look up.
