It is my understanding that local Masons dressed as native Indians assassinated Smith for his crime against the Masonic order.

What can be confirmed on the internet, there was a mob involved in the killing of Joseph Smith and some have alleged there were Masons in that mob. That's what

I'm thinking maybe you got the Mountain Meadows Massacre story and Smith's own 'tar and feathering' event mixed in.The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Well, it is my understand that Smith did give the "hail" sign. And they killed him anyway. In other words, he knew his killers.
That is not in this lecture [Dr Stuart Crane] but Smith and his second wife are mentioned BTW. Lecture as to do with Masonry and world finance.

Yes, Smith was a Mason - he made himself the Grand Poobah, and handed out "degrees" like they were candy. He was a self-centered opportunist who would stab his friends in the back or steal from them or take advantage of them if it meant advancing his own agenda. That, in my opinion, is why there was a mob involved in his murder, comprised at least in part of masons, former followers, and angry husbands of women he stole. He apparently appealed to his Mason buddies for help, but he already burned that bridge.Last edited by Cow Poke; 01-02-2016, 10:02 AM.The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

I found this in the mean time. You can correlate this with what Stuart Crane explained about the Nazi officers surrendering, who were German Masons. Joseph Smith gave that sign.

Well I missed this one . . . ". . . Smith voluntarily surrendered to the authorities at the county seat at Carthage to face the charges against him. While he was in jail awaiting trial, an armed mob of men with painted faces stormed the jail and shot him and his brother Hyrum to death. . . ." -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Joseph_Smith
Still looking though. And now I found such a reference:
