Boy, we really are talking past one another here, aren't we?
When I say "teaching Muslims about the Holocaust" I mean the "pearls" are the bestowing of knowledge or information (teaching). So I guess I'm asking, are you implying that teaching Muslims about the Holocaust would be a waste of time and effort?

Not necessarily. On a different thread (over in Natural Sciences) I made the off-hand remark that bin Laden was YEC and was quickly corrected. At least in his case, bin Laden is apparently an OEC, but does oppose ToE.

If that was the title of the thread,

a) then there would be no need to bring in the holocaust (emotion). Awakening people's emotions is just a marketing trick.

b) the thread contradicts itself because muslims are not offended by the truth (they welcome it).

That may be true but the reason why "Holocaust" was used in the title is because the truth in question pertained to what happened during the Holocaust.

Yes, I agree with you that holocausts should be reported in classrooms. As for the Holocaust in question, it should be treated like any other holocaust because of the potential political/psychological implications it may have in the classroom. If you ask a jew who went through the Holocaust and asked him/her if he/she would like to teach it in a classroom, I'm guessing that the answer would be:

a) No
b) Tears in his/her eyes

Perhaps I should open my own newspaper article titled: Teachers drop the Holocaust to avoid offending Holocaust Survivors.

Ok. Hey self! What do you think? Well after 9/11, Bali, Madrid and London (among dozens of others including the shooting school children in the back in Russia) perhaps there IS a history of some Muslim fanatics reacting a bit violently with the least provokation – real or imagined. Perhaps they just feared being decapitated as seems to be the fashion among Islamic terrorists these days. Anger Christians and they talk of protests and bocotts. Anger a Muslim and they talk about blowing things up and killing the offender.

Perhaps the real question should be, why do so many Muslims react with either threats of vioence or actual violence whenever they feel that things don't always go their way? And why do other Muslims fear to condemn their bretern for such waton violent outbursts? Cowardice? Caution? Or marketing tactics?

Well, one could just as easily blame Christianity for all the torture of innocent people during the Inquisition, too. And the slaughter of all the people during the Crusades

If Al-Islam was ever the path that God intended men to follow, then Allah (swt) turned his back on it before Muhammad's bones were well interred, and renounced it when Sunni and Shia made a schism where Allah (swt) had intended unity. More to the point, why aren't moderate Muslims condemning those Muslims who do not represent the principles of their faith and commit acts of violence? Why do they remain silent? Are they scared? Or perhaps is it that they actually agree with them?
