Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2016: Expedition of Light and Truth
    Encouragement and Special friends…

Near the end of the Israelite 40 year trek though the wilderness Moses knew it would be Joshua who would be their new leader he also knew Joshua would have his hands full just as he had so Moses shared these words of encouragement with Joshua. “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8, NLT)

We’re not Joshua nor are we Moses but because there’s a good chance like Moses and Joshua we’ll have our hands full (maybe you already have) so Moses’ words of encouragement are for you and I as well. “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8, NLT)

I have a special friend (a special friend is a friend sent to us by Jesus) who lives by those words even though he may not be familiar with Deuteronomy 31:8. A couple of weeks ago he invited to have lunch with him and because I so into eating I jumped at the chance. As we talked it became apparent to me just how deep, wide, and high his faith and connection with Jesus was and I found myself feasting on more than just a great hamburger, they were gourmet words of inspiration and encouragement.

I’ve written about this before and I’ll no doubt write about it again in the future because is is SO IMPORTANT we all need encouragement. I don’t mean we all need our ego’s stroked, we need to know that life gets difficult at times yet at the same time we need to know the LORD will personally go ahead of us. He will be with us; he will neither fail us nor abandon us. One way Jesus gets that message to us is through a special friend like mine who are not afraid to take us through the dark while at the same time showing us the Light of Jesus!

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary
