Homer?? excuse me, Homer, would you please take this personality test?
There were some (many) questions on the test, that i could have gone different ways... depending on the situation, or mood, or specific instances........ how in the world could they even present some dead dude as personality this or that, when even we might be hard pressed to give a solid 'yes' or 'no' on those questions?
OK, the test was fun, and may have some substance, but my two biggest beefs are the many questions that could go either way and the 'not so recently deceased' profiles.'If chance be the father of all flesh, disaster is his rainbow in the sky. And when you hear, "State of Emergency!!; Sniper Kills Ten; Troops on Rampage; Youths Go Looting; Bomb Blasts School", it is but the sound of man worshipping his maker.'.

Re: Personality Test
I'm INTJ. The first three letters are certain, but the attributes commonly given to 'J' don't fit me entirely (I wonder if this is because introverted judging types have a dominant function which is perceiving). However, looking at the functional hierarchy (Ni>Te>F>Se), INTJ is definitely me.
Here's another description of the INTJ type that hasn't been posted here yet, but I found more helpful than most other online profiles. For example, I like this part:
This paints a much more balanced picture of how my mind works with relation to people compared to other INTJ profiles, which can make it seem like INTJs don't care about people at all.
It's a pretty good site in general. The profiles seem to be written in terms of the underlying personality rather than the 'symptoms' of that personality, thus being useful to a person trying to figure out his/her own type, and avoiding some of the common misconceptions about particular types. My ISFJ sister actually got a bit interested in the whole thing after reading the ISFJ profile from it. Of course, it didn't last long, given that it's 'one of [zemmi's] theories' and she can't see immediate practical applications for it...
And may I just say that the online tests are very prone to error. Each question usually tests for a preference dichotomy (I/E, S/N, etc), but often a person could answer either way using either preference. Well, that's what it seems like to me anyway.
Funny how most people on Tweb who take this test are IN_J. In my experience, Ns are far more enthusiastic about type theory in general, and hence are more likely to try and figure out their type and post about it. And I guess we I__Js enjoy the semi-anonymity and orderliness of internet forum communication. (I also read somewhere that INTJ, INFJ, INTP, and ENTP are very common types on the internet and forums.)
Alas, I must prepare to leave the hermitage and venture into town...

Re: Personality Test
Your Type is
ENFJ
Extraverted Intuitive Feeling Judging
Strength of the preferences %
67 38 12 89
You are:
distinctively expressed extravert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
slightly expressed feeling personality
very expressed judging personality
The distinctively expressed extravert seemed a little weird to me, since I don't regard myself as a strong extravert, even though I wouldn't really call myself an introvert.
Edit: I tend to agree with TheAnalogman's assessment, i.e. I also think this test's results could very well depend on mood. Many of the questions could be answered differently depending on what mood you were in when you took the test."Christianity," says Bishop Wilson, "inscribes on the portal of her dominion 'Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, shall in nowise enter therein.' Christianity does not profess to convince the perverse and headstrong, to bring irresistible evidence to the daring and profane, to vanquish the proud scorner, and afford evidences from which the careless and perverse cannot possibly escape. This might go to destroy man's responsibility. All that Christianity professes, is to propose such evidences as may satisfy the meek, the tractable, the candid, the serious inquirer." http://www.woundedheart.org/sgtestimony.htm

Re: Personality Test
Ah, the wonders of self-assessment! I have come out with INFJ, INTJ, ISTJ, and INTP on the various internet tests. The pattern that came out was helpful, but in hindsight I can hardly believe I tested with an S or F preference! I have come to the general conclusion that the online tests can be helpful, but are no substitute for a proper understanding of the theory behind typology.
LS and anyone else interested, you might want to try either or both of these tests, which seem more accurate:
http://4np.net/ddli/ - a more advanced test in a similar vein to the test in the OP. It is longer and more detailed, see e.g. these questions:
As you can see, this is more flexible than the 'yes/no' dichotomies on the other test.
It also includes supplementary questions designed to test for preferences for the eight functions (Ni, Si, Ne, Se, Fi, Ti, Fe, Te). My advice would be to treat this section with a good deal of caution. This section hasn't worked for me either time I've done the test; I have scored as INTJ in the normal section and ISTP or ENFJ (it gives you two possibilities) in the supplementary section. This time it agrees that I prefer Ni and Se, but indicates that I also prefer Ti (definitely wrong) and Fe (could be right; there is debate about whether the tertiary function is introverted, extroverted, or can be either, I lean towards 'can be either'). It also claims that my dominant function should be a judging function, but it is definitely Ni, a perceiving function. So it's only partially accurate in my case.
http://socionics.com/sta/sta-1-r.html?0::: - Rather than answer questions, you choose adjectives from a list that you think definitely apply to you, and then from the same list choose those that definitely do not apply to you. (Socionics differs from Myers-Briggs significantly, but the test should still give the same type. Just don't get confused by reading stuff on it if you want to understand Myers-Briggs; take the four-letter code and then go and read Myers-Briggs material about it. Personally, I think Socionics takes typology way too far.)
Again, it is easy to get inaccurate results with these tests, but I found them better than most.
For those interested in comparison, here is how I scored on the original test and two I suggested:
Human Metrics (the test in the OP):
Socionics (summarized):Introverted: 100
Intuitive: 100
Thinking: 81
Judging: 22
You are:
* very expressed introvert
* very expressed intuitive personality
* very expressed thinking personality
* slightly expressed judging personality
[I agree with this in general, but 100% for I and N are a bit too high. In the past, I have scored differently with this test.]
(According to it, I am also subconsciously P.)Normal mode: INTx Reversed mode: INTj Combined mode: INTj
http://4np.net/ddli/:
Extraversion (E): 8 25 :(I) Introversion
Sensing (S): 0 59 :(N) iNtuition
Thinking (T): 64 4 :(F) Feeling
Judging (J): 26 4 :(P) Perceiving
You scored as an INTJ.
[The above seems fairly accurate.]
...
Please bear in mind that the supplementary questions are experimental and may be highly unreliable. If these scores conflict with your previous scores, it is probably because the questions are still not reliable enough.
's scores on the supplementary questions:
Extraverted Thinking / Introverted Feeling : 16
Extraverted Feeling / Introverted Thinking : 27
Extraverted Intuition / Introverted Sensing : 4
Extraverted Sensing / Introverted Intuition : 19
Rationality (Dominant Judging Function) : 31
A-rationality (Dominant Perceiving Function) : 1
According to the supplementary scores, could be an ENFJ or an ISTP. These are opposite types, because the supplementary questions measure for preferences that opposite types share in common. [ As you can see, this mostly conflicts with the previous section. I know for certain that I have dominant Ni and auxiliary Te, so I think I either couldn't answer the supplementary questions accurately or, as the page suggests, the supplementary questions can be unreliable. ]

Yea, sure. Knowing my laziness, and selfishness, comparision with Mother Teresa made me laugh.
Actually i agree that the result depends on when you do the test, because i have had a bit different results in similar tests in past.Delayed until future notice...

Re: Personality Test
I can't believe I didn't take this test the first time around.
I scored INFJ:
# slightly expressed introvert
# moderately expressed intuitive personality
# moderately expressed feeling personality
# moderately expressed judging personality
And, LOOK at the company I'm in: John Bradshaw, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, John Calvin, Nicole Kidman.
I don't know when I became "I." I've always been "E" in the past.

Re: Personality Test
I've taken the test before: I fluctuate between ESTJ and ISTJ. Once I even got INTJ. Generally I/ESTJ.

I apparently have no feelings....
http://typelogic.com/intj.html
INTJs are perfectionists, with a seemingly endless capacity for improving upon anything that takes their interest. What prevents them from becoming chronically bogged down in this pursuit of perfection is the pragmatism so characteristic of the type: INTJs apply (often ruthlessly) the criterion "Does it work?"
INTJs are known as the "Systems Builders" of the types, perhaps in part because they possess the unusual trait combination of imagination and reliability. Whatever system an INTJ happens to be working on is for them the equivalent of a moral cause to an INFJ; both perfectionism and disregard for authority may come into play, as INTJs can be unsparing of both themselves and the others on the project.

My essential personality type has remained the same for quite some time. At least 13 years when I first landed INTP in college.
I married an INTJ, so you can imagine how heated things get around here at times when I'm contemplating something because it can be contemplated, and she's chomping at the bit wondering if I'm ever going to do something practical with what I'm thinking. It makes for a good lot of entertainment when we both realise what's happening!
