  • Super Bowl Half Time Shows

This has bugged me for years. Having these idiot performers who care nothing for the game doing the half time shows, and this year is no different.

San Francisco (AFP) - British rockers Coldplay said Thursday they were overjoyed to headline the prestigious Super Bowl halftime show but admitted they knew little about American football.

But while describing their selection for Super Bowl 50 as an honor, the band members admitted they were unlikely to understand the game between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers
I e-mailed The NFL a while back and suggested that we go back to university marching bands or drill teams. Agreed?

I thought Creed did a good job when they played.

      What's a Creed?

I don't see how Americans can continue to enjoy football when seemingly every week a new retired player's brain is found with signs of CTE.

I'd hate to see the rugby players' brains...

I have to admit, I'd like to see Creed or Imagine Dragons doing the Superbowl halftime show. In fact, I think a marching bad could work well with Imagine Dragons' song "Monster".

Even soccer players can suffer from that, due to whacking the ball with their heads.

I agree. I think Imagine Dragons would put on a good show.

                  They should consider Metallica.

It's looking like they DO have a marching band this year....just part of Coldplay's gig though.

I dunno about "prostitutes", but...it definitely doesn't skew family friendly. Game's not going that great, either.

                          Rugby players are tougher.

Rugby players are probably better off because they play without helmets and are less likely to attempt violent hits with the head.

You have never watched a rugby game have you?
