Thread: Catalog your Books!

Re: Catalog your Books!
Neither of those are showing up on mine. I have two books in my library, but for some odd reason there's an "Add book" icon at the far right of the entries, which takes me to the "add book" page.
Yet my my home page says I haven't added any books.
Yet when I go to edit books, it says that I recently added them. And there's no green circle with a checkmark anywhere.

Re: Catalog your Books!
I've come to the conclusion that Librarything just isn't working properly. It won't even upload bookcovers from my computer.
I'm going to try some other free online book cataloguers:
There are some reviews of these hear:

Re: Catalog your Books!
I haven't been having any success. Maybe just my profile is screwy. Either way I'm going to try one of those other ones I listed. They're all free, even after 200 books.

Re: Catalog your Books!
The only think that I have found challenging about these things is that I really don't want to take the time to do it. I have what I assume is a fairly decent sized library (probably 300-400 books), and I really don't like to go on there and rate them all.
Either way, here is what I had when I started: http://www.librarything.com/catalog/Nekosohana
I moved mine over to the visual bookshelf on my Facebook page.

Re: Catalog your Books!
I have a bunch of ebooks in pdf too. How many?
*checks*
400-ish.
(actually, it's just over 1,000 files, but things like the Encyclopedia Biblica are broken up)
Most of them came from the World e-Book Fair. I've got a lot of reading to do.

Re: Catalog your Books!
The ones I read already were read on a computer. I don't plan on getting a Kindle, since I'm not really a big fan of reading off a screen of any sort. I only got the ebooks because they were free.

Re: Catalog your Books!
I just joined and put in the two books I've read in 2009. What's surprising is that the Ken Ham book has 20 more members with the same book than the best-seller Bill O'Reilly book. That may say something about the kind of people on Library Thing.

The first couple of books for my upcoming Irish history-in-music workshop came in, and pushed my library above 300.

Oi 'mudgeon, see if you can catch up to me....
(Good work on reaching 300.

Oh, and my girlfriend just got me Revelation: Four Views: A Parallel Commentary, ed. Steve Gregg.
Looks like the number of books I share with dizzle just stepped up one. Dizzle, what did you think of it?
"If God has given [his people] such joy now, joy in their faith, in their hope, in love, in the truth of his scriptures, what kind of joy is he preparing for them at the end? If he feeds them like this on the journey, how will he feast them in their homeland?"--Augustine of Hippo

Re: Catalog your Books!
I haven't read it cover to cover but use it more as a quick reference. From what I have seen, it is good. I will read it cover to cover one day. I have read good chunks of it.
