Reggie the alligator has finally been collared. It's in quarantine at a LA zoo for the next 30 days at least, scarfing down chickens and other delicacies.

I'm kinda sad it's not free anymore, and it's obviously the end of the saga, but I'm relieved the park doesn't have to worry about it anymore.

it's got a strong following, even got a fan club. The beast was allegedly dumped into the park's lake about 18 months ago when he was too big for the backyard. But s/he seems to be doing fine. No doubt it had a good diet from the feathered wildlife at the pond and some small animals. Anyway, it didn't go without a fight, and was escorted down a freeway with police escort and a small fleet of news choppers following the animal control vehicle, just like any celebrity. Only in California, folks!!!
