Apparently, in the mid-90s, the US military wanted to build a gay bomb. Yes, thats right, a gay bomb:

Pentagon officials on Friday confirmed to CBS 5 that military leaders had considered, and then subsquently rejected, building the so-called "Gay Bomb."
This is possibly the most bizzare, most insane, most downright idiotic thing I have ever heard in my life. These people are in charge of fighting wars!

I heard about this a few years ago. I had heard it was originally concieved of in the event of a war with radical muslims, and rejected not because it would not work but because it would not be legal contra international law.
