Biblical Languages 301 Guidelines

This is where we come to delve into the biblical text. Theology is not our foremost thought, but we realize it is something that will be dealt with in nearly every conversation. Feel free to use the original languages to make your point (meaning Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic). This is an exegetical discussion area, so please limit topics to purely biblical ones.

This is not the section for debates between theists and atheists. While a theistic viewpoint is not required for discussion in this area, discussion does presuppose a respect for the integrity of the Biblical text (or the willingness to accept such a presupposition for discussion purposes) and a respect for the integrity of the faith of others and a lack of an agenda to undermine the faith of others.

Yes, it continues to be that slow. However, I am not giving up.

PS give you a little heads up: I am revising The Gospel According to St. Matthew and The Gospel According to St. Mark for the Holy Orthodox Bible - New Testament. Things are going a little faster there, but only a little. I hope to start translating The Gospel According to St. Luke by the end of the Summer of 2017. Further this translation is from the official and normative Greek New Testament text as published by the Patriarch of Constantinople 1904 (revised 1912) and used in the Holy Orthodox Church. God willing things go as planned and I will have translated the whole Orthodox Bible into English in a few years and put out a one-volume Bible several years thereafter. One can only hope.
