Female - Xmas & HanukkahCommissioned anime pic of Stephen Colbert
I commissioned this picture from artist Ramy Badie at Anime Expo. My apologies for the poor quality of this version as I had to use a digital camera for now. If Stephen were an anime, he would look something like this.

Hope dangles on a string / Like slow spinning redemption / ... / I am captivated / I am Vindicated / I am selfish / I am wrong / I am right / I swear I'm right / I swear I knew it all along / And I am flawed / But I am cleaning up so well / I am seeing in me now the things you swore you saw yourself / Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional

who is Stephen Colbert?
I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.

Female - Xmas & HanukkahRe: Commissioned anime pic of Stephen Colbert
He is my fav comedian. He majored in Communications at Northwestern University, had a one-story stint as a reporter. Was into theater, though originally more serious stuff, so eventually he got a job at Second City in Chicago doing improv. comedy. He has played a teacher on an afterschool special show, Strangers With Candy, where the adults were the ones with the issues. He later worked on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, then got his own show, The Colbert Report (T's not pronounced). His fame increased greatly after a great roast of G. W. Bush at some big dinner he was invited to attend I believe it was last year.
On The Colbert Report, Stephen plays a left wing stereotype of a right wing reporter. His role is described as an emotionally based exercise in passionate willful ignorance, or something basically like that. On his first episode, he coined the term "truthiness." Truthiness refers to something that "feels right" but is emotionally or intuitively based rather than being logical. The American Dialect Society declared it the 2005 word of the year. He was givin an honorary doctorate in fine arts from Knox College.
He is the youngest of 11 children, but his dad and two brother's died when he was young. His mother raised him to believe that one can question the church and still be Catholic. As a comedian, he seems almost non-practicing to many, but he loves the Church and in the professional circles he moves in he seems almost monastic. As a man who adores his wife and kids, Mr. Colbert was his daughter's catechist in the last couple years.
I could go on, but I think I am overly earning my last Tweb name.
