A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
You are God’s Second Greatest Gift…
When it comes to God’s richest blessing (there’s no such thing as a poor blessing from God) you come second only to Jesus Christ! That doesn’t mean you’ll have a huge impact on the world at large, but then according to Jesus the life of one person is of great importance to God, “In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!” (Luke 15:7, NLT)
The Apostle Paul provides us with insight into the resources going into our lives from God. “But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.” (1 Corinthians 2:10–12, NLT, emphasis added)
It is the addition of the Holy Spirit in our lives that empowers each of us with the unique resources we need to be a Rich Blessing for God. Even at our weakest moment we are strengthened and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be a living witness to the love, power, and compassion of God. Earlier in chapter 1 Paul describes what takes place in your life and life around you when “the wonderful things God has freely given you” come to the surface. “God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:28–29, NLT)
You are not only God’s Second Richest Blessing – You are God’s Second Greatest Gift not to the world but to those whose path your life crosses! There’s already a 99.999999999999% chance you’ve already made a difference in the life of more than one person! Keep up the good work!
Believe it! Experience it!
Grace and PEACE!
