Natural Science 301 Guidelines

This is an open forum area for all members for discussions on all issues of science and origins. This area will and does get volatile at times, but we ask that it be kept to a dull roar, and moderators will intervene to keep the peace if necessary. This means obvious trolling and flaming that becomes a problem will be dealt with, and you might find yourself in the doghouse.

As usual, Tweb rules apply. If you haven't read them now would be a good time.

Atheism is the cult of death, the death of hope. The universe is doomed, you are doomed, the only thing that remains is to await your execution...

Beavers also change the workings of the ecosystem.
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

I once spend an hour with a dying beaver, petting him, and comforting him - poor little fellow (actually they are not that little).

If you're interested in this - the technical term for it is a "trophic cascade" - there's a book just out on the topic:

Equilibrium like this is how the world works. Man today, at least in the US, seems to think that the world as it is right now is how it must always be. The flaw in this way of thinking has been visible in the way we have thought of forest fires, for example.

Given that there's a distinct movement to put the world back to pre-human interference, I'm not sure this is strictly true.
              I'm not here anymore.

But true in general, though you are correct in the detail.
