More than 80% of respondents have the same view of Obama as they did since he was elected to the presidency. I would have guessed more people would have changed their mine. I guess the polls are either wrong or don't represent those who responded.

By this time last year, CNN et al. sure did make it sound like he had a magic wand. The enchantment sounded something like "Na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye," aimed at the White House.

The poll only has 18 votes. You can't draw any conclusions based on such a tiny sample.

Plus the reported change is in the middle. There are about 1/3 of folks who are always on the side of the Republicans. 1/3/ on the side of the Dems and the middle third.

Most people who take the time to post here are on one side or the other. (Or the dissatisfied fringe third party Libertarians like me. )

He messed up on the only issues I had hope about; Gitmo, illegal govt. activities, Iraq, etc.
These are really the only issues you cared about?

Now I'm really depressed.

I'm disappointed he isn't pursuing several leftist areas more actively. You heard me right!

The current economic debates seem to have stalled those parts of the left's agenda I agree with: immigration reform, gay rights, repairing civil rights damaged by post-9/11 politics, nuclear disarmament, and withdrawing from Iraq.
Health-care is a pretty big policy initiative. I think expecting the President to tackle all of these very decisive issues simultaneously is an unreasonable expectation. Remember, in addition to advancing his policy initiatives he's also running for reelection in 2012.
