In the theater? Ben Hur (no really) it was playing at an historic theater in Atlanta (near where I live).

Have you ever seen Ben Hur?

Reason: Question edit
In the theater? Ben Hur (no really) it was playing at an historic theater in Atlanta (near where I live).

Have you ever seen Ben Hur?

Yes. An incredibly old 1920s version, complete with instrumental piano and cue card captions.

Which version of "Ben Hur" did you see?

Edit to add: If the above question doesn't apply, which incredibly old films have you seen?

always heard about, but i did never watch it.

well, the oldest film i´ve seen is "the accusation witness" (something like this), which is older than my mother. (well, she´s not that old, but the movie is black´n white)

last book you read?

Last book I finished was "Gone With the Wind". I am about 2/3 through Battle Cry of Freedom a very large single volume tome on the US Civil War. (I am a bit of a Civil War buff)

Edit add:

Oops.... I forgot to add a question.

Do you prefer fiction or non-fiction?

Can cults survive under persecution? (Seems in places where religious activity is persecuted, you don't find many denominational splits, or cults flourishing like they do in America where religion is free, but who knows?)

Not sure about cults. But about denominational splits, I think that being under persecution will cause a group (any group) to focus on the common enemy and pay less heed to internal differneces.

Did that make sense?
