I assume people have seen this on the news already, but:
It's now been revealed that two-weeks ago the FBI raided Paul Manafort's home in a pre-dawn raid as part of Mueller's Russia probe.
This was a pre-dawn no-knock raid that is normally reserved for serious drug dealers where it is feared the suspect might destroy evidence, and such raids require a special level of approval from courts. This shows that whatever Mueller has on Manafort so far it is enough to get courts to sign-off on this level of further search for more evidence.
Many commentators are speculating that it is normal for prosecutors to be heavy-handed like this with suspects they hope to intimidate and then flip to get the suspect to turn over evidence on somebody else. In this case presumably Mueller would want Manafort to give evidence on dealings with Russia by others in the Trump campaign. Either that or Manafort's own crimes are simply so serious they justify this sort of intrusive procedure."I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump

Interesting to note that the raid occurred two weeks ago. Apparently Mueller et al is better able to control leaks than the WH sieve."I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump

Meanwhile, the reliably left-leaning THE NATION has concluded that there is no evidence of Russian hacking or collusion and questions the mandate given to Mueller.

He doesn't know what he's talking about, and can't be bothered to stick with the facts. You swallow anything he says without question, so.....The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.
