President Trump ends funding for the USDA research into honeybee decline. He then reversed an Obama administration rule barring the use of a pesticide known to be a major factor in the decline of honeybees. On top of that, he is basically closing up shop and dismissing the scientists who do this, and other research at the United States Department of Agriculture. He abruptly decided to move the USDA from Washington DC to Kansas City and gave the scientists working there 1 month to either uproot their lives, pack up and make their way to Kansas City, or lose their jobs. Most so far, I'm assuming just as Trump had planned, have decided to lose their jobs.
Honeybees are extremely important, have been in decline, and are necessary for the pollination of much of the food we eat. Can any of you Trumpsters make any sense of this other than corporate pay back for their financial support for Trump, or the reversing of anything Obama?
