This is our "date" day - tests this morning - meeting with specialists this afternoon, then we get out just in time to get into Houston outbound FRIDAY traffic.

(I think I'll buy her a steak at a local (to the hospital district) restaurant, and take our time getting home - Jake will understand)
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

I recommend seasoned rib-eyes, rare, with a bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, sautéed mushrooms and mashed potatoes.

I shall take that under advisement, with the possible substitution of Nehi Grape SodaPop for Chat Enough Dude Pop.

Don't forget to save a bite or two for Jake.

We were at Mr. mossy's company "Christmas" party last Friday, and I was quite disgusted by the office manager who was sitting at our table. He went and got 2 huge slices of prime rib from the buffet and wrapped them up in a napkin to take home to his dog.

            Seriously?

            Not impressed.

So, CP, take a little bit home for Jake, but not the whole cow!

Eh, depends on what was going to happen to the food not eaten at the party. It's often thrown out anyway.

He got a decent piece of my excellent buffalo burger, and a small piece of my wife's fabulous top sirloin!

I hope Jake never finds out that the steak and burger he eats comes from ... um.... his playmates in the pasture.

And? The report from the doctors?

The central issue was bone density... the protocol she is on has 'reduced bone density' as a probable outcome, so she's on some special medications to combat that.

It appears, for some odd reason, that her right hip has increased in bone density (good) but her left hip has decreased in bone density. Why, nobody knows, but not to an extent it's a huge problem right now.

Otherwise, she's doing great, and I'm still pretty hacked at all the "because of Obamacare" nonsense we experienced today - like MD Anderson will no longer be covered on her BCBS. (OK, I just now found out that she WILL be covered, because she's already in the system, but no NEW BCBS patients) And, her bone density tests will go to every 15 months, rather than yearly, because (who knows the reason for this) the staff is only allowed to do 6 such tests a day per location. If our "Obamacare is wonderful" Twebbers were around, I'm afraid I'd have to hurt them, and THEY could go get Obamacare.

But, all in all, a good say.

                              Thank you for asking.

OH! And the bone density of her neck is actually improved, which is excellent!

Spent another day at MD Anderson last Friday. For some strange reason, she had to enter all her personal information AGAIN, because they're on "a new system".

HOWEVER, she showed up early for each of her 3 appointments, and at each appointment, they saw here right away, instead of waiting for her scheduled time.

This was great because we ended up leaving Houston at 1:45 PM instead of 3:45 --- if you leave the hospital district after 3 PM, you might as well wait til 6 PM cause you'll be sitting in traffic the same amount of time.

                                And she's still doing GREAT!
